General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) will extend its use of Shift Technology’s Claims Fraud Detection to include travel insurance fraud.
Shift Technology and GIA have collaborated in the fight against insurance fraud since 2017 when the country’s insurance trade association deployed the company’s AI fraud-fighting solution for property and casualty (P&C) insurers to help identify suspicious motor and travel insurance claims.
Whilst the initial scope of deployment focused more on motor insurance claims, the significant success in both areas led to GIA’s decision to broaden Shift Claims Fraud Detection’s use in detecting types of travel insurance fraud.
