NASP 2024 Annual Meeting

Dan Donovan is the Vice President, Customer Success & Solution Consulting for Shift Technology, a provider of AI-native decision automation and optimization solutions for the global insurance industry. In this role, he and his team support Shift clients with strategic guidance and counsel related to how artificial intelligence and advanced data science can drive improvements in operational efficiency, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction across the claims and policy lifecycle. Dan is an expert in the field of insurance fraud and claims analytics. His more than 25 years of insurance industry experience comes from nearly two decades leading fraud investigation and claims operations for Liberty Mutual in Boston, and ten years working in the insurance technology sector.

Mike’s insurance career started in 1984 as a multi-line claims adjuster for Allstate.  Over the next three plus decades, Mike advanced through a variety of claims and management level positions at Allstate, Sentry and Hanover Insurance Group primarily handling liability claims, before moving into the field of subrogation in 2004. Since then, his focus has been to improve subrogation results for carriers and clients alike.  Additionally,  Mike joined NASP in 2004 becoming a member of the inaugural class of CSRP designees. He has been a member/co-chair of various NASP committees, chosen as NASP’s Ambassador of the Year and was also named to the NASP Board of Directors.

Bruno Fernandes is Data Scientist Tech Lead at Shift Technology, a provider of fraud detection and claims automation solutions for the global insurance industry. In this role, he is responsible for leading the subrogation decisions team and implementing machine learning models for performing liability estimation and assessing subrogation viability.
